AUGUSTA, ME-- On Thursday, May 10th, 2018, the University of Maine at Augusta Athletic department inducted their inaugural class into the UMA Athletic Hall of Fame.
South Portland, ME – The UMA Moose (6-7) hosted Paul Smith’s College at SMCC Thursday night in what would be the Bobcat’s 4th game of a 5 game road series over the winter break. The Moose extended their wins to two in a row improving to 4-5 in the YSCC conference.
The Moose looked to keep pace with the Terriers in the opening minutes of the first half as their defense forced early turnovers. The Thomas offense got hot throughout the half as the team knocked down 11-of-20 shots behind the arch to take a 62-35 lead at the break.
CONCORD, NH—The University of Maine at Augusta men’s basketball team (4-6) traveled to New Hampshire over the weekend to play in the NHTI Holiday Inn New Year's Classic. The Moose opened tournament play against the top ranked and defending USCAA National Champions, Berkeley College Knights (10-1).
Concord, NH – The UMA men’s basketball team entered the second day of tournament play by narrowly beating Springfield Technical Community College 89-88. With the victory, the Moose improve to 5-7 overall for the 2017-2018 season.
AUGUSTA, ME - The University of Maine-Augusta (4-6) men’s basketball team is heading to the winter break on a high note after collecting their first home victory of the season by beating the Unity College Rams (3-8) 106-89 Tuesday night at the Augusta Civic Center.
AUGUSTA, ME - The University of Maine-Machias (3-3) men’s basketball team prevailed 96-83 over the University of Maine-Augusta (2-6) Tuesday night at the Augusta Civic Center.
AUGUSTA - It didn’t take long for the Southern Maine Community College Seawolves (7-2) to establish their game as The University of Maine-Augusta Moose (3-5) men’s basketball team found themselves trailing 8-0 just a minute after the opening tip-off, and eventually finishing off the Moose for a 108-86 victory.
The Seawolves opened with a 12-0 run and never looked back as they amounted a 15-point lead, 38-23, with 7:00 remaining in the first half.
