UMA Moose beat Paul Smith's College 79-72

South Portland, ME – The UMA Moose (6-7) hosted Paul Smith's College at SMCC Thursday night in what would be the Bobcat's 4th game of a 5 game road series over the winter break. The Moose extended their wins to two in a row and improve to 4-5 in the YSCC conference.  

Jordon Holmes started things off on offense for the Moose with an assist from Israel Brown after the first two minutes of play. It was a back and forth battle for the next 10 minutes until the Moose took the lead with 9:26 left in the first half and opened up a 10 point lead with a trey from Noah Thompson going up 39-29 with 4:42 left in the first half.

The Moose opened the second half on top 46-37 and were able to hold the lead until 8:23 remained in the game when the Bobcat's would take the lead briefly. A pair of free throws from Israel Brown would put the Moose back on top where they would remain with the game ending in a Moose victory 79-72.

Jordon Holmes had 18 points, 9 rebounds, and 4 assists. Dustin Simpson-Bragg had a double-double with 16 points, 13 rebounds, and Devin Begin had a great day off the bench with 10 points and 5 rebounds.

The Moose are back in action on Wednesday January 17th at the Augusta Civic Center where they will be hosting an Alumni game at 7PM.
