Moose Win Shootout Versus Unity

AUGUSTA, ME – The University of Maine Augusta men's basketball team won a shootout with Unity College on Tuesday, winning the contest 112-96.  Taylor Wilbur led the way for the Moose, scoring 25 points in the victory.

UMA used double-digit scoring from four players to pull off the victory. Brandon Rogers and Caleb Mcguire notched 20-20 double-doubles. Rogers scored 23 points with 20 boards while Maguire netted 22 points and 20 rebounds. Keith Chesley added 22 points and 11 boards, also notching a double-double.

Keith Priest came off the bench for the Moose, adding eight points, three rebounds and two assists. Robert Manix scored four points and seven rebounds. Taylor Mannix grabbed five rebounds and added one assist while Richard Brown hit two free throws and secured two steals. Aaron Williams contributed five minutes off the bench and helped hold onto the lead in the closing minutes.

Jacob Scoville led the scoring for Unity, netting 43 points. Josef Whitman grabbed 10 boards in the loss.
