Incoming freshman, Taylor Mannix, comes to the Moose from Portland High School.  Son of Lynn Murphy, Mannix played both basketball and soccer in high school.  As a team captain, Mannix gained great leadership skills. He is the younger brother to Tom, Eric, and Jeff.  His brother Eric played rugby for Clemson.

At UMA, Mannix is a Liberal Studies major with great interest in broadcasting.  In his downtime, he enjoys writing, watching netflix, running, hiking, and traveling.
