Moose Fall Short in Last Seconds

This image is caught in action. The men's basketball player in white uniform is jumping relatively high. His arms are to the right of his body, as if preparing to baseball throw the basketball across the court. His right knee is towards his chest, while his left leg is slightly straight and trailing behind him. To the left of him is a player from PMC in dark green uniform. To the left of the image is a referee with a whistle in his mouth. In the center of the photo in the background is Coach Ford with his arms crossed and an unamused facial expression.

MACHIAS, ME— In a physical matchup against the University of Maine at Machias, the Moose came out ready to battle.  After Machias came out with a few quick buckets in transition, the Moose answered back with their own run.  It was an entire game of lead changes and the Moose took the lead before halftime 39-36.  Keith Chesley (Clinton, ME) dominated the first half for the Moose with 12 points and six rebounds and Rob Manix (Jackman, ME) pitched in eight points.

The Moose came out with the same fire in the second half as they did the first.  It was a complete team mentality for the Moose as everyone pitched in.   The game came down to the last possession and Machias was able to connect.  The Clippers went on to win 91-88 over the Moose.

The Moose were led by Keith Chelsey and Taylor Wilbur (Manchester, ME) who both had 22 points.  Brandon Rogers (Turlock, CA) added 13 points and seven rebounds.  Garrett Alley (Union, ME) pitched in nine points and five rebounds while Robert Manix had eight and Caleb McGuire (Whitefield, ME) added seven.  Jordan Carson (Sidney, ME) nailed a crucial three and Taylor Mannix (Portland, ME) and Domenic Malaga (Warwick, RI) both added two points.

The Moose are on break until January 10th when then head to New Hampshire as part of NHTI’s holiday tournament.  Go Moose!!!
