Augusta, ME—The United States Collegiate Athletic Association has selected two players from the University of Maine at Augusta as National Players of the Week.
Keith Chesley, junior forward, averaged 30 points per game, while shooting 46.5%, and 17 rebounds per game against YSCC conference member, NMCC, and NCAA Division III member, Maine Maritime Academy. His week was featured by a 41 point outburst in a game against NMCC. Chesley currently leads the YSCC in both points per game and rebounds per game.
Jamie Plummer, sophomore center, of the women’s basketball team led the Lady Moose to a conference victory by pouring in 31 points on nearly 50% shooting from the floor and 90% from the free-throw line. Plummer also added 18 rebounds, 3 blocks, and 2 steals in her lone contest of the week. She also received the Yankee Small College Conference Player of the Week for her efforts.
