UMA Bowling 2017: Guimond and Clark ready roll

AUGUSTA, ME – The UMA Bowling team started their 2017 campaign two weeks ago at Spare Time Recreation in Augusta and Family Fun Lanes in Bangor.

The Moose currently have 14 student-athletes on their roster between the Augusta and Bangor campuses and expect that to grow in the coming weeks.

Returning standouts Richard Cormier (senior) and Anthony Guimond (senior) are looking to improve their standing in the conference tournament this year. When asked what Cormier’s plan was this bowling season he responded with, “Eat, sleep, bowl.”

When Guimond was asked about his thoughts on the Moose’s chances this season he said, “Bowling is a sport for people who have talent to spare,” adding, “I think I have some talent to spare.”

On the women’s side sophomore standout Lindsey Clark opened the season rolling a 151 proving that, when focused, she can be a true force.  Senior Jamie Plummer made the second week of practice and has shown that her competitiveness from the basketball court should carry over to the lanes.

The Moose are already anxious for the conference tournament but will have to wait and see where the pins may fall this season.
