Moose Cross Country compete at Bowdoin Invitational

BRUNSWICK, Maine – The UMA Moose cross country teams traveled to Brunswick on Saturday to the Bowdoin Invitational at Pickard Field.

 The meet drew the deepest Division III talent in the state with temperatures reaching into the high 80’s by the start of the women’s race.  Senior Carmen Bragg finished first in Yankee Small College Conference competition at the meet with an overall time of 23:15, a new collegiate personal best.

 On the men’s side sophomore Sam Gerken ran to a 31:58 personal best. Sophomore Dustin Simpson-Bragg ran 34:11 at his first meet of the season and junior Sheveran Williams-Hardy also ran himself to a new personal best of 35:47.

 

Moose cross country will be taking the next two weeks to focus on workouts and will return to the next Bowdoin Invitational on September 30 at Pickard Field, scheduled to begin at 1:00 p.m.
