AUGUSTA – UMA basketball is excited to announce that Jack Bonville has committed to the Moose for the 2018-2019 season.

Bonville attended Presque Isle High School in Maine competing in Class B. In Bonville’s time at Presque Isle he played 4 years of basketball and soccer as well as playing AAU for Black Bear North.

When asked how he decided upon UMA, Bonville said, “I decided upon UMA because Coach Ford had reached out to me about playing basketball at UMA and I thought it was a good fit to continue playing beyond high school." When it came to looking for a school to pursue his degree, Bonville said, “UMA also has a great business program available which made the decision even easier. I visited the campus in the spring time and it was a very good environment with some great people. I got in touch with some of my teammates and I’m looking forward to playing with them and I’m excited to play under Coach Ford.”

Head Coach Jim Ford is excited that Bonville will be joining the Moose next season saying that, “His speed and athleticism will be a boost to our defensive play and scoring in transition.”
