Introduce The Moose: Israel Brown
Israel Brown is a senior for the UMA Moose. In his junior year, Brown led the Moose in scoring with 20.1 PPG. He played in 21 games and netted a total of 422 points in the 2019-20 season and sits at 928 career total points as a Moose.
He had an average of 13 points a game and nearly 3 rebounds a game in the 2018-19 basketball season. Brown played in 21 and started 19 games for the Moose. With his speed and agility, Brown is a phenomenal asset on both ends of the court. Brown is active on campus where he balances working in Student Life, being a member of the men’s basketball team and doing well academically.
Teammate Fred Martinez had this to say about Israel: "Iz is a cool dude and fun to be around. He works hard on and off the court and is always in the gym. He likes to make everyone around him better and is an awesome teammate."

I first started playing basketball when I was 5 years old.
What is your favorite thing about being a part of the Moose family?
My favorite thing about being part of the moose family is being able to get extra help academically, they also want to see you graduate.
My favorite class at UMA was probably history aviation as the class was very different and unique.
Do you have any pets?
I currently do not own any pets.
Favorite meal?
My favorite meal to eat would probably be Spaghetti and meat sauce with garlic bread.
What motivates you?
What motivates me is trying to be better each season by putting in work during the off season. If you don't work year round you're only hurting yourself.
