CONORD, New Hampshire – The University of Maine at Augusta women's basketball team advanced to the Yankee Small College Conference Thursday afternoon with a convincing 66-39 win over Vermont Technical College. The Lady Moose entered the tournament as the number one seed and will face the winner of the Southern Maine Community College and Central Maine Community College game Saturday at noon.

UMA's Katie Poirier (Harmony, Maine) led all scores with 23 point and 19 rebounds. Ashley Peaslee (South China, Maine) nabbed ten steals while scoring eight points while Jenn Lola (Monmouth, Maine) scored 18 points.
