UMA Golf Team Wins Home Match

VASSALBORO, ME Saturday, September 13th, the UMA golf team hosted their first home match of the season at Natanis Golf Course.  The Moose came out with a bang and had four golfers shoot between an 87 and 93.   It was Keith Ross (Winthrop, ME) who led the charge on the front nine with a 39 and continued with a birdie on the 10th.  Ross continued his stellar pace with an 87 tying teammate Jake Roddy (Belgrade, ME).  Following close behind was freshman Bobby Greig (Augusta, ME), who shot an 88.  Greig had an outstanding first collegiate match and followed up again this week with a great performance.  Keith Priest (Augusta, ME) followed up with a 93 for the day. 

Josh Smith (Rome, ME) shot a 102 this week, while India Pickett (Monmouth, ME), and Jesse Walker (Lisbon Falls, ME) played in their first golf match for the Moose.

For SMCC, Seawolves' team member Ben Chaine (Bridgton, ME) received low medalist honors for the second time against the Moose.

UMA will head back to South Portland next week to take on SMCC at Sable Oaks Golf Course on Saturday, September 20th.  GO MOOSE!
