AMHERST, MA – UMA women's cross country competed in the YSCC Conference Championship hosted by Hampshire College this past weekend. The 6K course was a mix of single and double track mixed throughout campus and the surrounding farm fields and woods.
The Moose finished 3rd overall as a team in the conference behind the 2018 YSCC Cross Country Championship team Hampshire College and runner-up Vermont Tech. The race got off to a slow start through the first few kilometers as runners sized up their conference competition.
The Moose were led by Shauna Riordan who finished 5th overall in the conference landing her a spot on the YSCC Women's Cross Country All-Conference Team. Sophomore Emily Billings finished 2nd for the Moose followed by sophomore Faith Krause and freshman Hunter Hoague. Marissa Crosby rounded out the scoring for the Moose and Meganne Radway displaced three NHTI runners with an impressive kick to finish out her cross country season.
