Women's Cross Country Kick Off 2018 in Vermont

RANDOLPH, VT – The women's cross country team traveled to Vermont to compete in the Vermont Tech Invitational on Saturday to open their season.

Seven teams competed for maple syrup over a difficult course that incorporated classic Vermont terrain including a trip through the apple orchard. Sophomore Faith Krause and freshman Hunter Hoague led the way for the women's team, working together most of the race sharing pacing duties. Krause pulled ahead by a few seconds over the course of the last 800 meters to finish first for the Moose in a time of 27:13 followed by Hoague in a time of 27:28.

Meganne Radway finished third for the Moose in a time of 31:24 followed closely by Caitlin LaFountain in a time of 31:38.

 

The women's cross country team will travel to Unity, Maine for the Unity College Invitational on September 15th.
