HOW IT HAPPENED
UMA was on the road for the start of the YSCC playoffs facing Vermont Tech for the third time this season in the quarterfinals. The Moose were at the Knights just over a month ago where they beat Vermont 72-62 during the regular season.

The Moose inflicted insurmountable damage with their defensive prowess in the first quarter going up 24-2. Vermont Tech got into a rythum in the second quarter but the Moose answered back; outscoring the Knights 20-14 and putting UMA up 44-16 at half.

UMA went on to shoot 45.2% from the floor and 77.8% from the line. Four of their five starters had double digit points with Kaeti Butterfield leading the Moose with 23 points and Madeline Suhr recording yet another double-double with 19 points and 10 rebounds.

With this road win the Moose advance to the YSCC semfinals in South Portland.
