AUBURN, MAINE – UMA women's basketball team played their way to their 3rd conference victory this week again Paul Smiths College Sunday afternoon.
HOW IT HAPPENED
UMA took immediate control of the game in the first quarter going up 23-6 and never looked back. The Moose had great ball movement throughout the first half and used their size advantage over Paul Smiths to out rebound them 26-9 in the first half. Sidney Moore was connecting from behind the arch early on and would go on to shoot 3-4 from three.
The second half the Moose picked up where they left off. Freshman Cassidy Lessner saw solid minutes off the bench and had a season high of 10 points. Sophomore Emily Billings had 15 points, 4 assists, and 2 steals. The Moose would go on to win 84-30 extending their win streak to four in a row, with the last three against YSCC opponents to end the semester.
NOTES OF THE GAME
- Caitlin LaFountain had 19 points and 15 rebounds
- Sidney Moore lead the Moose with 21 points
- Cassidy Lessner had a season high 10 points and a rebound off the bench

This is the last game of the Fall semester for the Moose and they will open 2019 at the NHTI Holiday Inn New Year Tournament on January 5th.
