Moose Fall to CMCC, 87-48

AUGUSTA, ME – UMA women's basketball had their season home opener at the Augusta Civic Center in front of a crowd of 200 supporting the Moose as they took on YSCC conference opponent CMCC (4-0).

HOW IT HAPPENED

UMA matched CMCC's pace in the opening minutes of the first quarter with the Moose tying the game 8-8 off of a layup from Caitlin LaFountain 4 minutes in. CMCC went on a 17-point run to close out the first quarter. CMCC remained in control through the rest of the first half and into the second.

Emily Billings led the Moose with aggressive and fast paced play resulting in 5 rebounds and a steal. CMCC went on to beat the Moose at home 87-48 dropping the Moose to 1-1 in the YSCC.
