Moose tame Bobcats, 86-40

South Portland, ME – UMA women's basketball (13-2) improved their winning streak to 5 games after defeating conference opponent Paul Smith's College at SMCC 86-40.

The Moose got on the board first with a layup from senior captain Carmen Bragg and never looked back. Within the first quarter the Moose opened a lead of 25-12 and continued that momentum through the rest of the half going up 50-19 before heading to the locker rooms.

Dominique Lewis was almost perfect in the third quarter notching 10 points and would end the night with an impressive 27 points, 6 assists, and 5 steals in only 28 minutes of play. The Moose continued to hold the Bobcats at bay on offense while extending their 30-point lead at halftime to 46 by the end of the game.

The Moose saw significant production from their bench including 7 points and 6 rebounds from Jordynne Littlefield and Mallory Chamberlain 5 rebounds, 2 assists, and 3 points.

The Moose host the University of Maine Fort Kent at the Augusta Civic Center Wednesday 17th at 5PM.
