Moore Has Career High 33 Points in Moose Victory

AUGUSTA, ME – The University of Maine-Augusta (8-1) hosted Bunker Hill Community College (0-4) at the Civic Center Wednesday night and won (112-26) scoring the most points in a single game in program history.

UMA got off to an aggressive start in the first quarter (38-5) with Caitlin LaFountain contributing 12 points and freshman Sidney Moore scoring 11.

Moore continued her offensive scoring spree in the second quarter contributing another 8 points putting the Moose up 65-13 at half.

It was more of the same in the second half of play. All five starters for the Moose scored 10 points or more as the team shot 55.6% while scoring 42 points from Bunker Hill turnovers.

Freshman Sidney Moore had a season high of 33 points, hitting 7 treys from behind the arc shooting 63%. Four of the Moose scored in the double digits. Carmen Bragg had 23 points and 8 rebounds, and LaFountain contributed 20 points and 8 rebounds in only 16 minutes.

UMA women's basketball heads to Lewiston to play Bates College (1-4) on Friday December 1st at 7PM.
