Moose honor Plummer with Senior Night win

AUGUSTA, ME – After a change in date due to snowy conditions on Tuesday, the UMA women's basketball team faced NHTI (11-2, YSCC) in an important conference matchup Wednesday night at the Augusta Civic Center.

It was senior night for UMA and after honoring Senior Jamie Plummer on her amazing career as a Moose (1,923 points, 1,164 rebounds, 154 steals, 200 blocks) the Moose were anxious to get to work.
NHTI came to play and began with a very strong early start, pulling ahead of the Moose in the first quarter. Through the pressure and emotion of the night, the Moose finally found their rhythm with a pair of 3's from freshman, Dominique Lewis.  The Moose battled back from the double digit deficit to take the lead just before halftime.
Plummer lead the way in what would be her last home game as a Moose at the Augusta Civic Center. The Moose continued to pull away in the second half of play, seeing substantial offensive production from Caitlin LaFountain who ended the game with 23 points and an impressive 16 rebounds as well as from Dominique Lewis who netted 20 points and 9 rebounds from the bench.
Jamie Plummer brought the leadership and intensity that the Moose have come expect from their senior captain. Plummer ended the night with 26 points going 4-7 from the 3-point line as well as grabbing 7 rebounds, 5 assists and a block.

UMA would go on to win the game; 83-74 over NHTI.  Riselly Deoleo lead the Lynx with 29 points and 15 rebounds.

The Moose will take on Bates, Friday, February 10th at 7:00p.m.  GO MOOSE!
