Toth named national player of the week

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - Senior Darby Toth was named United States Collegiate Athletic Association Player of the Week on Tuesday as announced by the national office. Toth also secured Yankee Small College Conference Player of the Week honors for her performance on the court last week. The senior eclipsed the 1,000 point milestone in a victory over University of Maine Presque Isle and is now the sixth player in their history to do so. The Moose remain undefeated in the Yankee Small Conference at 8-0.

For the season, Toth (North Port, Fla.) is averaging 11.9 points per game and is currently ranked second in the Yankee Small College Conference in three-point percentage and third in the country in DII women's basketball, with a 36.4 percentage for the season. The point guard is also ranked second in the conference in assists (4.6pg) and third in the nation in total assists (97). 

The women's basketball team is looking to remain undefeated in conference action tonight when the team takes on Southern Maine Community College in Portland at 6:00.
