Card has big night in win over Unity

AUGUSTA, Maine - Sophomore Morgan Card (Ellsworth, Maine) scored a season-high 26 points and 13 rebounds Monday night as the No. 1 ranked University of Maine at Augusta women's basketball team defeated Unity College 77-15 in Yankee Small College Conference action. With the win, UMA improves to 11-4 on the season and 6-0 in conference action, leaving the Moose all alone atop the Eastern Division standings. 

Card was 11-23 from the floor and 4-5 from the charity stripe in the win, while Carmen Bragg (Washburn, Maine) was also in double-digits with 14 points. Freshman Caitlin LaFountain (Topsham, Maine) scored 12 points and grabbed 11 rebounds to go along with a season high three blocks and five steals. Junior Jamie Plummer (Richmond, Maine) scored 10 points while recording two blocks and pulling down 13 boards. 

For the night, UMA shot 41.2% and pulled down 59 rebounds as a team. The Moose return to action tomorrow night when the team travels to Bates College for a non-conference match up beginning at 6:00.
