UMA downs Vermont Tech in Conference Match-up

BANGOR, ME—The University of Maine Augusta defeated Vermont Tech  on Sunday, February 8th by the score of 55-39. Kylie Kemp recorded a double double in the win, scoring 16 points and grabbing 10 rebounds

Action was back and forth in the first half, with neither team leading by more that seven in the half. Eight minutes in, Vermont Tech grabbed its largest lead of the half, leading 11-4. The Lady Moose went on an eleven point run, taking a 15-11 lead.  UMA would take a 20-19 lead into the locker room.

The Lady Moose wouldn't look back coming out of the locker room as they led for the entire half. Jamie Plummer led the scoring for the Lady Moose scoring 20 points. Carmen Bragg scored 11 points and grabbed eight rebounds.

Jessica St. Amand grabbed seven rebounds and added five points. Monique Moore grabbed five rebounds, one assist, two steals and added one block. Kori Coro added two points and grabbed four rebounds. Krystin Kemp went 1-2 from the free throw line and Erica Fredrick-Rock grabbed one rebound in the win.

Paige Wells led the way for Vermont Tech, scoring 12 points and grabbing 16 rebounds in the loss.
