Lady Moose Fall to CMCC

AUBURN, ME – The University of Maine at Augusta women's basketball team fell Thursday evening to divisional foe Central Maine Community College by a final score of 88-70.  Carmen Bragg scored 20 points for the Lady Moose while Jamie Plummer added 16 points and 16 rebounds in the loss.

CMCC controlled much of the first half, answering each time the Moose tried to pull the game closer.  The Mustangs eventually took a 43-35 lead into the locker room at halftime.  Bragg had 13 points in the first half, while Plummer added eight points and Jessica St. Amand added six.

In the second half, the Lady Moose could not gain any ground, being outscored by the Mustangs 45-35. Kylie Kemp scored 11 of her 13 points in the second half, and Monique Moore added three points of her own to bring her game total to seven.

St. Amand finished the game with 12 points and four rebounds, and Kemp also contributed seven rebounds of her own.  Kori Coro added two points, four rebounds, and three assists off the bench for UMA.

For the Mustangs, Gabby Foy scored a game-high 26 points, while Laura Soohey and Alex Rowe each scored 12.

The Lady Moose are back in action on January 30, when they travel to Hampshire College.  Game time is scheduled for 5:00 p.m.
