Men's XC Finishes 3rd at UMA Invitational

Men's XC

AUGUSTA, ME – The University of Maine at Augusta hosted their 2nd annual 5K Invitational on Saturday September 28th on the Alvin Fields and UMA trails. Thomas College finished first in team scoring in both the men's and women's race with Jarod Ottman taking the overall win running 16:53. Freshman Dulce Moguel won the women's race running 28:16 on the rolling course finishing almost a full minute ahead of 2nd place.

Freshman Cole Winslow finished first on the men's side and just outside of top 10 finishing 11th in 21:38 followed by Sam Gerken and Christian Alley. Freshman Brandon Hemingway and Angus Putnum rounded on the men's team for UMA.

On the women's side Hunter Hoague finished 2nd for the Moose and 3rd overall with Bethanie Lovely rounding out the women's team finishing 7th.

The Moose race next weekend at Colby who is hosting the Maine State Cross Country meet at Quarry road in Waterville on Saturday October 5th.
