Daquann "DQ" Hayes comes to UMA as a junior who will be majoring in interdisciplinary studies.  Before joining the UMA family, DQ is also currently serving in the Air Force. His career intention after basketball is to become a counselor in the Air Force.

In high School, DQ played three years of varsity basketball and was apart of the cadet advisory board and chess team. In his senior year he lead his team to an undefeated record, while also winning the school's first conference championship. DQ won the regional IHSA three point contest and won most improved player of the year in his senior season. DQ is a transfer from Truman College of the NJCAA. 

He is the son of Charles Hayes and Teresa Dockery and he has three siblings. When DQ isn't playing basketball you can find him bike riding or painting.
