MACHIAS, MAINE – The UMA men's basketball team traveled to Machias to face the Clippers who stand 7-6 in the Yankee Small College Conference.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The first 10 minutes of the game the Moose and Clippers battled back and forth keeping it a tight contest. The Moose went up 31-27 off of a 3-pointer from senior captain Noah Thompson with 11 minutes remaining in the first half but the Clippers responded by going on a 15-point run. Machias ended the first half up 60-43 over the Moose.
The Moose cut the lead to within 9 in the opening minutes of the second half before the Clippers began to pull away eventually winning 103-85.
NOTES OF THE GAME
- Noah Thompson had 23 points, 5 rebounds, and 9 assists
- Dustin Simpson-Bragg had 26 points
- Alex LaFountain had 19 points and led the Moose with 9 rebounds
