Hard Fought Loss to Vermont Tech, 88-73

AUBURN, ME – The Moose got YSCC conference play underway for the 2018/19 season with a hard-fought contest against Vermont Tech at neutral site CMCC.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Moose got off to a strong start in early minutes of the first half and went up 26-20 off of a floater Ty Cowan. It was apparent that ball movement and communication have improved over the 2017/2018 season and the Moose have several new threats on offense helping to spread Vermont Tech's defense out. Vermont Tech fought back and went into the half with a 48-42 lead but the Moose responded with energy out of the locker room cutting that lead to 48-47 in the opening minutes of the second half. Vermont controlled the last 10 minutes of the game going on to win 88-73.
