Mitchell enters UMA as a junior, majoring in Business Administration.  He graduated from Vinal Technical High School in Middletown, Connecticut before attending Post University.  Mitchell has played two years of collegiate basketball, one at Dean College and the other as Central Maine Community College before coming to UMA.  

The 6'1 lefty shooting guard played four years of high school basketball and earned a spot as the State of Connecticut McDonald's Scholar-Athlete.  He was also a part of the National Honor Society and recieved high honors all four years of high school.  He was named captain of his high school basketball team and made 2nd team all-conference.  

Mitchell has four siblings: Mikaela, Taelor, Johran, and Amyie.  His parents are Quinn and Shirleen.  In his downtime, Mitchell enjoys fishing.
