NHTI slips past Moose on Senior Night

AUGUSTA, ME – After a change in date due to snowy conditions on Tuesday, the UMA men's basketball team faced NHTI (11-2, YSCC) in an important conference matchup Wednesday night.

UMA hosted their Senior Night and started the evening by honoring senior Nick Bragg for his commitment to UMA basketball as well as for his achievements in the classroom.
The Moose brought great energy from the start of the game matching NHTI's up-tempo style of play throughout the first half. The Moose shot 94.4% at the free throw line and 47.5% from behind the arc with 18 total 3 pointers.
In the last 2 minutes of play NHTI was able to edge slightly ahead of UMA outscoring the Moose in the second half 64-52 for a final score of 119-112.
Captain Noah Thompson ended the night with 22 points, 6 rebounds, and 9 assists. Jordan Holmes had another high scoring night of 40 pounds followed by Dustin Simpson-Bragg with 29.
Dante Ramos led NHTI on offense with 25 points and 12 rebounds.
The Moose travel to take on Unity, Sunday, February 12th at noon for their final regular season game. GO MOOSE!
