Rogers and Chesley join an elite club in win over Vermont Tech

RANDOLPH CENTER, Vt. - Senior captains Brandon Rogers and Keith Chesley each entered elite territory in the UMA records books, as both players recorded the 1,000th rebound in a dramatic 113-111 overtime victory over Vermont Tech . The two players become the second and third players in the history of UMA men's basketball to reach the milestone, joining Deon Cheers who did so in 2009. 

Rogers (Turlock, Calif.) hit the milestone in the first half, with one of his game-high 20 rebounds to go along with 23 points and Chesley (Richmond, Maine) grabbed his 1,000th board in the second half, one of 13 rebounds. Chesley also scored a team-high 33 points in the win. The Moose battled back from a 14 point deficit in notch their 11th win of the season and climb to within one game of .500, at 11-12 and 6-4 in the Yankee Small College Conference. 

Freshman Dallas Murray (Newport, R.I.) scored a season-high 25 points, going 6-16 from behind the arc and 8-21 from the floor. The point guard also dished out nine assists with four rebounds and a steal. 

The Knights tied the game with a three-pointer by Brian Richards, but Chesley made good on two of three free throws at the buzzer to seal the victory. The entire game was a see-saw affair that included 12 ties and 15 lead changes.
