Northfield, Vt.—Trinity College was named the 2013 Ed Hockenbury Classic championship team following Saturday afternoon's 57-43 win against the Cadets of Norwich University.  Worcester State finished the tournament in third place after downing the University of Maine-Augusta 96-56 in the consolation game.

Trinity's Hart Gliedman (New York, N.Y.) was named the tournament's Most Outstanding Player. He was joined on the All-Tournament team by teammate George Papadeas (Athens, Greece), Norwich's Evan Tullar (Chelsea, Vt.), Worcester State's Jake Ratcliffe (Northbridge, Mass.), and UMA's Brandon Rogers (Turlock, Calif.).

UMaine Augusta was paced by junior Rogers who finished with team-highs of 13 points, 10 rebounds, six assists and two blocks.

Teammate Jesse Smith (Troy, N.Y.) tallied 11 points while freshman Caleb McGuire (Whitefield, Maine) and sophomore Keith Chelsey (Clinton, Maine) both finished with 10 points apiece. McGuire also grabbed nine caroms for the Moose in the defeat.

The Lancers nursed the early 13-8 advantage with 12:58 left in the first half before the offense exploded with a 26-6 run to go up 39-14 six minutes later. It was an overall team effort in the spurt as seven different players contributed at least two points in the run and helped WSU go 9-for-16 from the floor.

The Blue and Gold finished the stanza with the 57-28 lead at the intermission.  Ratcliffe and Bacon both chipped in with 10 points each at the break.

Worcester State maintained their margin the rest of the way as the UMaine Augusta never got back into the game. WSU outscored the Moose, 39-28 in the final stanza.

The Lancers finished the contest hitting 51 percent of their shots which included a 6-for-18 effort from beyond the arc (33 percent).
