Chesley’s 36 points lead Moose to win over NMCC

BANGOR, Maine – Freshman Keith Chesley (Clinton, Maine) scored a career and season-high 36 points and grabbed 19 rebounds Thursday night to lead the University of Maine at Augusta men's basketball team to an 82-54 win over Northern Maine Community College in Yankee Small College Conference play. Chesley was 14-20 from the floor, including three triples as the Moose improved to 8-11 on the season and 7-5 in the YSCC.

Junior Garrett Alley (Union, Maine) also netted a season-high 18 points on 8-15 shooting, while sophomore Emmitt Faulkner (Clinton, Maine) was in double-digits with ten points while also dishing out six assists. Senior Arron Cochran (San Antonio, Tex) led the team with eight assists.

Matt Till led NMCC with 14 points while Reid Clark and Pat Goodall kicked in 11 points each.

Game notes: Chesley is currently leading the YSCC in rebounding, with an average of 9.2 boards per game. Cochran is ranked sixth in the conference in assists, dishing out 4.1. The Moose next travel to Presque Isle this weekend to face off against the University of Maine at Presque Isle on Saturday afternoon in non-conference action.
