CONCORD, NH – The UMA golf team traveled to Beaver Meadows Golf Course this past weekend to compete against YSCC opponent NHTI to open the season.
Four golfers represented UMA including returner Nate Martin, now in his second season for the Moose. Joining Martin were newcomers Ty Cowan who led the Moose with a 102 followed by Brad Kraft, and freshman Kathryn Ross.
With the addition of Kathryn Ross to the golf team the Moose return to having representation on the women's side of competition for the 2018 season. When asked about how her first collegiate round went Ross said, "I was nervous for my first match but also very excited. The other players were extremely helpful and it was a great experience for our team. I had a great time and cannot wait to play again this weekend and improve!"
UMA Golf is back on the road this weekend where they will be back at NHTI Saturday September 8th to play at Beaver Meadow Golf Course and again on Sunday September 16th at Montague Golf Course.
