Roddy and Smith  named USCAA Academic All Americans

State College, PA - Junior golfers Jacob Roddy (Belgrade, Maine) and Joshua Smith (Rome, Maine) have been named United States Collegiate Association  Academic All-Americans for the second year in a row. Roddy is a Justice Studies major, and Smith is a Biology major with a minor in Education.

The golfers received the honors at the USCAA National Tournament held at the Penn State Blue Course. It's the third consecutive year that UMA has attended the National Tournament. Roddy finished first for the Moose for the second straight year, netting a top 40 finish with scores of 89 and 81 in the two day tournament.

In order to receive the honor, student athletes must have a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher and be at least a sophomore in standing.
