VASSALBORO, Maine - The University of Maine at Augusta golf team captured its first tournament victory of the season on Saturday, defeating four other teams on their way to winning the UMA Invitational.
The Moose were led by Freshman Connor Morey (Aviation; Deer Isle, Maine) whose score of 79 tied him for the first place finish. Jesse Libby (Architecture; Oakland, Maine) and Drew Moody (Business Administration; Sidney, Maine) tied for second with an 83, while Jacob Roddy (Justice Studies; Belgrade, Maine) and Keith Ross (Business Administration; Winthrop, Maine) finished with an 85 and 86, respectively.
UMA defeated Yankee Small College Conference both golf teams from Eastern Maine Community College, Great Bay Community College, and U Maine Machias for the win.
