UMA notches first win

VASSALBORO, MAINE – Jacob Roddy finished third and Drew Moody took fourth Saturday afternoon to help lead the UMA Moose golf team to its first tournament win of the season at Natanis Golf Course. The Moose shot a combined score of 454 to defeat Yankee Small College Conference members Central Maine Community College and Eastern Maine Community College.

Roddy has finished in the top three in each of his first four events of the season and first place for the Moose  in each match. His overall score of 82 was second only to Andrew Slattery of CMCC who won with a par 72 and A.J. Harris of EMCC who shot 81.
 

Moody shot an 85 for UMA while Keith Ross finished tied for sixth place with an 89. Keith Chesley shot a 94 while Josh Smith and Thomas Needham rounded out the field with a 104 and 117 respectively.
