Matt has been playing golf for 13 years and was the captain of the Cony High School golf team for three years. Matt competed at the high school state golf championship level all four years he was in high school. This season marks Matt's first in collegiate golf. He identifies his strengths on the course as accuracy from the fairway and a great short game. His two favorite yardages from the flag are 110 and 150 years. 

When Matt isn't golfing he is a singer/songwriter who plays a lot of venues in Augusta, Hallowell, and Portland, Maine. He has a ten year old littel brother who is also a good golfer, and a 15 year old sister who plays soccer for Kents Hill School.
