Ross is now entering his 6th season as the head golf coach at the University of Maine at Augusta.  Ross was voted the 2018 YSCC Coach of the Year and successfully lead two UMA golfers to the USCAA National Tournament where they recorded the lowest scores by UMA golfers at the National Tournament in school history. 

Ross has successfully helped UMA qualify for the USCAA National Golf Tournament each of his four years as a coach.  Under his leadership, he has coached YSCC Golf of the Year, Lee McDowell who had a standout golf career.  McDowell's best round was on September 12th, 2015 where he shot a 76 at the NHTI Invitational.  McDowell also hold the school record for highest placing at the USCAA Golf National Championship; 10th place.  Likewise, Ross coached UMA standout Evan Kordalski who recorded a personal best of 80 on September 9th, 2017.  The UMA golf team earned the YSCC Sportsmanship award in 2017. 

Ross has also continued to spearhead the annual UMA golf tournament fundraiser and successfully completed the 13th year.  The golf tournaments have helped raise funds over the years to help benefit the student-athlete experience here at UMA.

 Originally from Cohasset, Massachusettes, Ross now resides in Winthrop, ME with his family.   He is a Cohasset High School graduate who came to UMA after time at Salem State College.  Ross played soccer, basketball, and was on the track team in high school.  He is a 2015 graduate from UMA in the Business Management program.  While attending UMA, Ross played on the golf team for three years.  His career best was an 85 at Barren View on September 9th, 2012. Ross was very involved in fundraising as a student-athlete, helping to coordinate the annual UMA golf fundraiser.
