Lady Moose Sign Harrington

AUGUSTA, ME—Morgan Harrington of Richmond High School joins the Lady Moose commitments for the 2014-2015 basketball season.  Harrington, a power forward, played basketball all four years a Richmond and helped lead her team to two Western Maine Championships.  She is a fierce competitor in the post with an unrelenting work ethic.  Harrington is looking forward to continuing her basketball career here at UMA.

“I like that UMA is close to home”, says Harrington on choosing UMA. “They are affordable and have my major, business. I like the small, friendly community and the encouraging atmosphere. Also, it seems like a fun place to be!”

Morgan has been an honor roll student all through high school and will bring that same commitment to academics and athletics here at UMA.  "I am thrilled that Morgan has decided to join the UMA Moose,” says Assistant Coach Laurie Ficker.  “She will be a great asset as we continue to recruit student-athletes who are a strong force both on the court and in the classroom."

“We are ecstatic to welcome Morgan to our Lady Moose family”, says Coach Laney on the new addition. “ Morgan creates a strong force in our front court and will make an impact for us right away.  She is a great rebounder on both ends of the court and has shown time and time again that she can perform in high pressure situations.”
