Women's Basketball Recap - 11/9/14

CONCORD, NH-- The Lady Moose jumped right into their second game of the season as part of the Edwards Jones “Tap-Off” classic against Quinsigamond.  The Moose came out raring to go right off the bat.  Despite a poor shooting performance, the Moose lead at the half 28-19.  The women used their strength attacking the basket to seal a nine point lead.

The Lady Moose were lead again by freshman point guard, Carmen Bragg (Washburn, ME) who nailed down four three’s.  Bragg ended the game with 18 points and five rebounds.  Kylie Kemp (Monmouth, ME) finished off the game with 15 points, nine rebounds, three steals, and three assists.

Senior co-captain Jessica St. Amand (Windsor, ME) finished with 10 points and four steals.  While other co-captain Jamie Plummer (Richmond, ME) was one point shy of a double-double earning nine points and 12 rebounds. 

The Moose went on to win 59-32 against Quinsigamond.  Second half pressure helped the Lady Moose seal the lead.

Jessica St. Amand and Carmen Bragg earned the All-Tournament titles in the Edwards Jones “Tap-Off” classic.

The Lady Moose are back in action on Wednesday, November 12th against YSCC opponent Central Maine Community College.  The women tip off at 6:00p.m.
