  • Taylor Wilbur scored 547 points his senior year of high school.
  • Wilbur played basketball, soccer, and track through high school - including a State Championship in soccer his senior year.
  • He hit a game high (5) three pointers for the Moose early this season.

True freshman, Taylor Wilbur has jumped right into being a huge asset for the UMA’s men’s program this year.  His versatility and speed has been a big factor for the Moose. Wilbur is averaging 16.2 PPG and shooting nearly 41% from the field. Look for Taylor to spark the Moose as they strive in YSCC action later this season.

Interesting fact about Taylor: “I like to spend time outdoors and like to white water raft, and I'm the youngest on the basketball team.”

What do you like most about UMA? “I like how close it is to home, how small the classes are, and how I have the chance to be able to play basketball.”

Who is your mentor? “My mentor would be my father, he has taught me everything I needed to know about basketball. He's spent countless hours in the gym with me teaching me to be able to be the best player I could be. He has also taught me how to be the best person I could be and to be polite and respectable to others.”

What class are you looking forward to? Taylor is most looking forward to his Psychology class.
