AUGUSTA, ME—The Moose continued their conference action at the Augusta Civic Center on Tuesday, November 15th taking on the Clippers of the University of Maine at Machias. Both teams came out with a matched intensity, fired by hot shooting early on. It wasn’t until the second quarter that the Moose took the strong lead, going into halftime up by 20, with a score of 41-21.
Plummer led the Moose with 17 points in the first half while doling out 3 assists. LaFountain added 7 points and 7 boards to the half while Clark and Card had 7 and 6 points respectively.
The Moose would continue to dominate going into the second half and never let the Clippers back. Plummer finished with 22 points, Clark with 12, and Card with 9. Freshman Courtney Dunton and Bri Soucy also chipped in 6 points a piece.
Alicen Brooks led the way for the Clippers with 17 points and Linda Riley pulled down 11 boards.
The Moose will travel to NHTI this weekend to take on Dean College in the NHTI’s Hogan Camps Thanksgiving Tournament. The Moose tip off at 2:30 on Saturday.
