ALBANY, NY-- In their second game of the weekend, the Lady Moose played in the Championship game of the ACPHS Panther Tip-Off Tournament against the host school, Albany College of Pharmacy.  The first half came with many lead changes and a strong looking Lady Moose team.  Five players for UMA shared in the scoring and shot 37% in the first half while holding Albany College of Pharmacy to 27%.  The Moose went into halftime down by three.

It was the second half where UMA’s perimeter shooting began to get hot, led by Freshman Carmen Bragg (Washburn, ME) who hit four of her five three pointers.  Freshman Kylie Kemp (Monmouth, ME) and Kori Coro (Jackman, ME) both added in the long range scoring.  Ultimately, an Albany College of Pharmacy run with eight minutes to go in the second half was too much for the Lady Moose to come back from.  UMA played hard until the final buzzer but were ultimately defeated by the Panthers of Albany College of Pharmacy; 67-53.

Jamie Plummer (Richmond, ME) finished with eight points and 10 boards.  Bragg had 17 points, five boards, and four steals while Coro added 13 points and three assists.  Kemp chipped in seven points, seven boards, and six assists.  Senior Jessica St. Amand (Windsor, ME) had eight points and six rebounds.

Following the championship game, ACPHS announced the members of the All-Tournament Team.  Jamie Plummer and Carmen Bragg were honored as part of this team for their efforts over the weekend.

The Moose are back in action on Tuesday night, November 25th against Southern Maine Community College.  The Moose will also be honoring faculty members during the break between games.  All UMA staff and faculty get in to the game for free.  Women tip off at 6:00 p.m. and the men will follow at 8:00 p.m.
