VASSALBORO, ME—For the second week in a row, MacDowell takes a first place finish in the Yankee Small College Conference (YSCC) match-up between University of Maine at Augusta, NHTI, Southern Maine Community College, College of St. Joseph (VT), and Great Bay Community College. The match was played on UMA’s home course, Tomahawk, at Natanis Golf Course in Vassalboro, ME.
On a very blustery fall day, MacDowell shot an 80 to solidify the win by a mere two strokes. Taylor Post from NHTI finished second with a score of 82, while Alec Babyak from College of St. Joseph’s (VT) shot an 85 for third place. In overall team scores UMA placed 5th with the help of scoring from Noah Thompson, Dillon Fletcher, and Nick Bragg.
Next week, UMA will travel to Gray, ME to play Spring Meadows Golf Course. The match will be hosted by Southern Maine Community College.
