ALBANY, NY-- In the first game of the Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences Panther Tip-Off Tournament, the Lady Moose took on Briarcliffe College.  After a slow start the Lady Moose found themselves in a 13 point deficit.  In a tightly called game, starting point guard Carmen Bragg (Washburn, ME) got in early foul trouble and sat 12 minutes with three fouls in the first half.  The Moose battled back earning a majority of their comeback points at the line and went into half time down by three.  Sophomore co-captain, Jamie Plummer (Richmond, ME), was 9-11 from the line and had 19 points in the first half.  Freshman Kori Coro (Jackman, ME) entered the game and have the Lady Moose a jolt of energy.  She was 5-10 in the first half boosting the Moose with 12 points.

The second half the Lady Moose came out with a bang.  Sharp shooting from the perimeter by Bragg, who hit two key three points for the Lady Moose, helped ignite second half action.  With multiple lead changes, the game came down to the last 14 seconds.  The Moose had possession and were able to run the clock down and attack the basket drawing the foul which put Plummer at the line for two with 1.9 seconds.  Plummer sank both buckets and Braircliffe was unable to get a shot off.  The Lady Moose secured the win 56-54 against USCAA Division I opponent Briarcliffe College.
