UMA Golf Heads To 2018 USCAA Golf Championship

UMA Golf will be sending both Ty Cowan and John “Zach” Alden to the 2018 USCAA Golf National Championship which will be held October 7-9, 2018, at the Penn State Blue Course in State College, PA.

This is the first season Cowan and Alden are playing for the Moose and they have both already made an impact. In 5 rounds of tournament play this season Ty has averaged a score of 89 throughout the season while Bowen in 4 rounds has managed to average 86. Both golfers have had season best rounds of 83 showing that they are capable of playing some great golf.

22 teams will be competing at the 2018 USCAA Golf National Championship this weekend where golfers must average 90 or below (per 18 holes) during the season to qualify for the event.

Ty Cowan played for Madison Area Memorial High School where he was a 4-year varsity golfer and served as the team captain for three years. John “Zach” Alden is a student of the UMA Bangor Campus and is also a freshman who recently graduated from Bangor High School.
