Meet the Coach: Jeromie Grammer

This basketball season you will see a new coaching assistant on the UMA Moose sidelines helping with both the men’s and women’s teams. Jeromie Grammer comes to UMA all the way from Beaumont, Texas. Most recently Grammer was the head coach of the Legacy Christian Academy boys’ basketball team. Grammer led Legacy Christian Academy to an undefeated district championship in the 2017-2018 season. Prior to coaching at Legacy Grammer worked as an assistant at Southeastern University. During his time at Southeastern the Fire won 73 games and made an NAIA Final Four appearance.

Grammer also ran his own nonprofit Southeast Texas Hoops that served as a summer basketball program for grades 5-12 consisting of 10 teams and 100+ youth athletes in his area. Jeromie will also be working in the UMA Admissions office as their newest admissions counselor. Jeromie has extensive experience working with first-generation and low-income students and is passionate about working with students to get them excited about college.
