AUGUSTA, ME – UMA Track and Field is excited to announce that Darin Libby has committed to the Moose for the 2020 spring outdoor season.
Libby was a member of the Madison High School track and field team for the past 4 years and saw improvement and success during his time competing for the Bulldogs. This past outdoor season Libby was the 100m Mountain Valley Conference champion (11.61) and finished 2nd in the 100m Class C state championship meet (11.72). Libby also holds the Madison school record in the long jump (20’6) and finished 2nd in the MVC Championship this year jumping (20’ 2).
Coach Gilpatrick is excited to have Darin Libby join the Moose in the spring. “Darin brings a lot of talent and potential in areas that we need on the men’s team and I am really excited to have him on the team. He has shown consistent improvement year over year and had a great senior season for Madison. He is also really passionate about aviation and is a great student academically which is something I really look for in our student-athletes.”
