AUGUSTA, ME – AUGUSTA, ME – UMA men’s basketball is excited to announce that Connor Davies has committed to the Moose for the 2019-2020 basketball season.
Davies was named to the MVC First Team and was a Top 10 player in the conference while playing for Monmouth Academy. In his senior years Davies averaged 18-ppg and was invited to play in the 2019 McDonalds All Senior Game. Davies was a dual sport athlete who also went to the Maine State meet for hurdles.
When asked how he decided upon UMA, Davies said, “I started looking at colleges out of state but then I decided last minute that I wanted to stay local and UMA was my top choice. I knew that they had good classes and could help me along the way and I also knew that I could try out for the basketball team just to give college sports a look. I knew UMA would fit me well because I had already taken classes there prior to graduation.”
Coach Ford is excited to have Connor Davies join the Moose this spring, “Connor’s size (6’ 5”) and athleticism and love for the game will add more strength to the Moose front court.”
